Poker is Bad for You

STRIP #30
Today's strip is horrible! And Friday's isn't much better! Wish me luck on writing a good one for Monday. Maybe I'll even resort to bringing Harold back. No, not yet. I'll save that for sweeps.

Please reply to this thread in the forums if you'd be interested in custom +EV poker chips.

lol, definitely not horrible. I find that the strips I enjoy the most are the ones I can relate to. This I can relate to . . . unfortunately :)

Me too, except I'm just a fat slob in general and poker doesn't have much to do with it!

Hehe... I liked it and totally relate. In that last panel it kinda looks like Violet and Corbin should be making it a date at the gym. ;)

They can't all be winners.

Violet super-looks fat. Or would that be super-fat?

I think it's just a really big shirt. In the last panel she's holding her arm out, placing her hand on Corbin's back, so that stretched the shirt pretty wide. Also, I think I'm blind. I never notice any of this stuff, like a couple weeks ago when everyone was saying the characters looked very different.

(Or maybe this is just an elaborate ruse and Violet is PREGNANT.)

(No, it's not.)

I think it just generally looks like crap. "Poker players are out of shape!" no...that's just you. And the icon in your image.

Yes, I'm the only overweight poker player obviously. I guess you're forgetting about HAROLD, one of the best poker players of all time. Oh, and Greg Raymer, Chris Moneymaker, Doyle Brunson, most of the other WSOP Main Event winners throughout history, and at least five million other poker players.

It's good that Corbin's even trying to get into shape. He's not even fat, which is a stereotype I easily could have put on him. He's skinny, but he's out of shape because he's been playing so much poker lately and not doing much exercise. Most poker players can relate, as the first two responders to this post said.

You really need to work on your long range artwork there. Do you draw it too Bobby? Who does the art?

Above the strip on the main page it says "Illustrated by Tiger Claw," which is the name the artist goes by. I don't know much about art, so I'm not sure if he needs to work on his long range artwork or not. Looks fine to me.
