Things Clancy Saw
STRIP #137
You'd basically have to spend a couple hours reading this massive thread to understand today's strip. Cliff notes version: Well respected top online player Aaron Been was playing with far less respected live player Vanessa Rousso during WSOP Event 30 last Monday. They had a brief verbal exchange after Vanessa made a horrible play and called her opponent (not Aaron) an idiot who two-outered her when she actually checked and let him it. Vanessa got very upset when Aaron said she played badly and went crying to her boyfriend Chad Brown, a suspected steroids user who lists Bill O'Reilly as one of the two people he'd like to meet in this world, who then threatened to beat up Aaron and tried to force him to apologize. Aaron simply walked away.
Had a fun +EV Tourney yesterday, with alpendog winning the event and the +EV comic book that goes along with it. This was alpendog's fourth win, extending his record.

Your comics seem to be dealing more and more with stuff that comes from forums (Pocketfives, 2+2) and less with general poker stuff, and it's just not as fun when you have to research the backstory to a comic, you know?
I agree with you, but it makes it more fun for the people who already know about it and don't have to research it, which is quite a lot of people. It's a fine line to walk. I also prefer strips that are accessible to absolutely everyone and those will be back very soon.
I like the occasional forays into real-time events and caricatures of real people as it mixes up the action a little.
Variety is the spice of life. You won't be able to please everybody all of the time.
Remember that +EV is YOUR baby.
Ah...hopefully a future strip will have the great line: '10k HU for Oversized Sunglasses!!!'
