Backdooring Cowboys
STRIP #102
For those who don't know, backdoor means the turn and river and kings are also called cowboys. This strip is based on a real life event from last year when I was playing $2/5 NL at the Horseshoe Casino in Council Bluffs, Iowa. I wasn't in the pot, but two guys got all-in on the flop and one of them needed running kings to win and the dealer said he'd have to "backdoor a couple cowboys" and everyone started laughing. A little later at the same table someone needed running deuces and the dealer said he needed to "backdoor a couple ducks," which brought more laughs. I believe the dealer's name was Oren, so thanks, Oren!
